But seriously though . . . In a few interviews you’ve said that at one time you were pretty broke, only had an EHS octave pedal and a tuner and JoJo had to buy the Moogerfooger. That seems to have changed now, so my question is; was there a single event or decision which marked an sudden shift in income, or has it been a gradual upward trend as your reputation has grown and entrepreneurial ideas have borne fruit?
Or, come to think of it, is that the question you’re sick of answering . . . 🤔
Have you ever thought about working with a second bassist? Maybe a two bass, drums, and sax quartet? Your chordal, melodic, and electronic textural playing would mesh in a really interesting way over someone grooving on a p-bass with flats. Similarly, would you consider having your keyboard collaborators ever play supporting synth bass on parts of songs?
Janek you are a composer. Would you please talk us about it? How do you cope with the rest of the band? I mean do you leave space to them about the main melody, changes, etc..

Second this. What where your random “day jobs” before you could live off just music?
It would be great to hear how your compositional process goes from song fragments recorded on your phone to a “finished” tune/arrangement.
Is there an instrument you've not had on any of your albums that you would want on some future album. Oud maybe? (I'd love to hear that)

The new live record has several parts where the keyboard does some bass synth stuff, would recommend giving it the full listen

Where do you get your socks from?
