I have to admit that, despite being super curious about splitting my board into two separate effects loops, I had very little optimism about the results.
I couldn't have been proven more wrong, and the outcome is one of the most musical traveling pedalboards I've ever made.
The signal chain has integrity, the effects are easily accessible, and my clean sound can now develop and grow without having to worry about any of the other weird things I love to have onstage with me.
As I mention in the video, there are a few things I would love to modify about the pedal and gear it more towards bass players specifically. So many pedals like this start their lives solely for guitar, but it doesn’t take much to reduce the form-factor and make them a must-have for any bass player serious about their signal chain.
Although EQD did send me the pedal for free, I’m not getting paid to say any of this. They didn’t ask me to make a video about it, and have no idea this is coming out today. As most of you already know, I just like to make cool sounds with cool stuff.
This is some of that “stuff” I’d really like to develop further for us bass players, and if you have any additional feedback about what you’d like to see in a utility pedal like this, please leave it below the YouTube video.
More soon,
Janek
P.S. The most recent restock of signed copies of pentatonics sold out in less than an hour. I’ve upped the order rate and there will be two more drops of 20 copies each on Feb 11th and 16th. We now have Altered, ii-V-I, and Chordal Harmony in-stock this week, with stocks very short on Iconic Lines with just 4 copies left. Thanks for the continued support, and for making it possible to continue finding joy in making music, videos and books.
