"A Song A Day" is Moving to A "Show A Week"
Complete shows vs single songs. Which do you prefer?
As the reality of my increasingly busier schedule sets in, especially the next two weeks of preparing for the New Album sessions, bringing you a song a day is becoming a much bigger challenge than I anticipated.
I want to try sharing a complete show with you once a week. Maybe a regular Saturday feature of the newsletter? It will also give me a chance to share other things with you, like demos from the new album, without overloading your inbox every day.
Give me your thoughts below.
Each time I’ve shared one song with you, I’ve gone a listened to the entire show and been able to dive so much deeper into the music. So why shouldn’t you have that immersive experience also?
From the very start of this journey I’ve threatened to “share more” of each of the shows I’ve drawn from, so starting today I’m going to give you one of my top five bootlegs in its entirety.
It’s what we kicked this whole trip off with: Deantoni Parks and kudu live in Boston in 1999.
Enjoy,
Janek
I like the idea of a weekly set of songs. Potential there for some theme which could be cool. As Vince said the path of least resistance for you is what’s best. Whatever keeps u going, because these songs are invaluable.
Very much appreciate all the work it take to curate and post these fantastic recordings... whatever is the path of least resistance for you!!
Selfishly, the show a week probably means more music, and so many times a single song is a kinda a cruel teaser in a way.. wish we could hear the entire show anyways!
