This simple bass superpower is right there for all of us to capitalize on, and it only takes a tiny amount of awareness to accelerate your learning process and become a better player right away.
Being curious about the myriad of options when it comes to fingering can lead to economy of movement, smoother position shifts, and an overall confidence that is priceless when the red light goes on or the audience cheers you onto the stage.
My main aim is to take the thinking out of performing. Putting the fundamentals of fingering under the microscope in my practice time, moves me closer to that goal of freedom in performance.
